This is really cool: for about 300 grand you can get the ultimate in SUV protection and transportation. The Knight XV by Conquest is the pinnacle of bullet proof engineering. It’s built from the ground up to be a dedicated luxury protection vehicle; unlike Hummers that are bullet-proofed aftermarket. Weighing in at about 5,896 kg, the Knight XV takes about 4,000 hours to build by hand, thus the price tag. The 6 Liter GM V8 is a flex fuel engine, allowing the Knight to run on up to 85% (E-85) Ethanol in addition to standard gasoline. To see the Knight XV in action, check out the movie Fast Five, in which Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson takes the truck on a high-speed chase through the Rio hills, smashing smaller cars.
